My son can't get enough of these. He plays with them, eats pears, apples, bananas, cantaloupe, blueberries and anything else I can put in there. You can choose to peel your fruit or cut a piece up and stuff it in. I personally don't peel the fruit, saves me time that way. The cold fruit eases the pain of teething. I've found these also help babies get use to texture.
They are dishwasher safe, but I usually just clean mine by hand with a little dish soup and hot water right after my son is done. And did I mention they are under $10 for two!
